Try the OnLive beta!

We all have our doubts about streaming gaming about how it's next to impossible for this system to work for the user base they're looking into.  I have my extreme doubts as well. Unfortunately, I can't be a part of this beta test anyway since I'm Canadian. It's for US only.

So sign up and tell us how it is the second the NDA is lifted if you manage to get in.

DirectX 11 cards on the way!

For those of you looking to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7 and upgrade their computer at the same time, you might want to hold off a bit until the first line of DirectX 11 cards are on the market.  After all, the release is not that far off.  More after the jump.

Perfect Dark HD coming to XBLA?

I never got a chance to play Perfect Dark for N64. From what I hear, the gameplay felt exactly like Goldeneye.  If that's the case then I'm excited.  Not only is it coming for XBLA, but it has been hi-def retextured. More after the jump.

The most terrible news I heard today. I'm going to cry now.

Beyond Good & Evil was a short, but fantastic and heart warming game. With the idea of a sequel on the way I had hopes of another beautiful adventure on the horizon.
My dreams were crushed this morning by twitter. More after the jump.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena review

I've always been skeptical about games based on movies or movie characters,  mainly because none of them are any good.  That somehow didn't stop me from buying The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay back in 2004, and the game turned out to be a surprisingly unique first person shooter.  When I saw Assault on Dark Athena was released, I was again skeptical.  Rarely can you get two surprises out of a series when no one was expecting anything special in the first place.

Battlefield 1943 not coming to PC (This year)

The release date for BF1943 was actually creeping up quickly with a planned release on August 31st this year.  It has been pushed back though.  Way back. A little more after the jump.

The Forgotten Gems of Gaming - Descent

Interplay is a name you don't hear very often in the gaming world anymore, as for some time they ceased being a company due to an outstanding debt. This was despite making some incredibly memorable game series like MDK, Fallout and Earthworm Jim.  Recently they were revived by selling the Fallout intellectual property rights to Bethesda Softworks.  With this revival, they intend to bring back many of their other classic IP's, but this article will include only one of them, one of my all-time favorites; Descent.

No more DLC for Fallout 3

Mothership Zeta

Fallout 3 is a huge game to say the least. Even just the vanilla version of it.  I adore the game and cherish my current character as if it were a robotic pet.  Five downloadable expansions added a massive amount of content to the game as well. Who's to say there won't be more? Well, Todd Howard said so. More after the jump.

Sweet Mother of AWESOME! Mass Effect 2 E3 Trailer!

Where the Mass Effect 2 logo should go

I loved Mass Effect. The prospect of more Mass Effect got me giddy. This trailer made me wet my pant in anticipation for it. Also, the music sounds like Nine Inch Nails, but I wasn't 100% sure. Is it NIN or original soundtrack? It was one of those games I bought but never thought I'd play. I did for a few hours, then lost my save game. I got frustrated and it just sat in my steam list for a year. A few months ago I decided I had forgot enough of the opening story it would be new to me again. So I played it and now it's one of my top 10 favorite games. Enough with that. Watch the trailer after the jump and get excited. DO IT!

Final Fantasy 14 Online screens released

(To hell with Roman numerals, they make me think.) Final Fantasy Fans were excited at the release of several new pictures for the upcoming MMO. I'll admit, it truly looks like a beautiful game. However, if it plays anything like the current Final Fantasy Online game, you can bet I wont be playing it. ... or I'll be sleeping at my keyboard. I DO have hopes they've changed the gameplay enough to make it more entertaining so I'll likely pick it up when it's released to test it out anyway.
